Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov participated Wednesday in a joint meeting in Berlin between the foreign ministers of Germany and Central Asian countries and representatives of the German business community. In his remarks, Gurbanov outlined Turkmenistan’s priority areas for cooperation with German businesses.

Key areas include transport and logistics, modernization of railway infrastructure, development of the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port, and German participation in establishing East-West and Central transit corridors between Asia and Europe, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.

Other promising sectors identified are energy, including hydrogen projects and green transformation, the chemical industry, textiles, agriculture, water management, information technology, and artificial intelligence.

Special attention was given to cooperation in the financial and banking sector, as well as successful partnerships in healthcare.

Turkmenistan expressed readiness to enhance engagement with German companies both bilaterally and within the “Central Asia–Germany” framework.

Last year, in October, Turkmenistan held its Economy Days in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
