President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations to Sanae Takaichi on her reelection as Japan’s prime minister, Turkmenistan’s state media reported Thursday.
In his message, the head of state said he warmly recalls their meeting held on the sidelines of the first Central Asia–Japan Dialogue summit in Tokyo and expressed readiness to make use of the broad opportunities for Turkmen-Japanese cooperation based on a relationship of trust.
Berdimuhamedov wished Takaichi good health, well-being and continued success in efforts aimed at the benefit of the friendly Japanese people.
According to Kyodo News, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, Takaichi, was reelected prime minister Wednesday. She received 354 votes in the lower house of the National Diet of Japan.
