Foreign traders last week concluded deals worth more than $37.8 million at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET), Turkmenistan’s state media reported Monday.
Business representatives from Afghanistan and Türkiye purchased liquefied gas produced by enterprises of the state concern Turkmennebit, as well as urea manufactured by facilities of the state concern Turkmenhimiya.
Traders from the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, Serbia and Kyrgyzstan also bought wheat flour, greige fabric, men’s clothing, cotton yarn and fiber, rolled cotton batting, Portland cement and dry licorice root extract.
Turkmen entrepreneurs purchased polypropylene and base oil produced by Turkmennebit, as well as cotton yarn and wheat flour, totaling more than 48.5 million manat.
