Outstanding Loans Issued by Turkmen Banks Exceed 100 Billion Manats

The total outstanding amount of loans issued by Turkmenistan’s credit institutions to enterprises, organizations and the population in the national currency reached 100 billion 48.06 million manats as of Feb. 1, 2026. As of Feb. 1, 2025, the total outstanding loan amount stood at 90 billion 540.48 million manats, according to the electronic journal Bank habarlary, published by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.

As of Feb. 1, 2026, the outstanding amount of loans issued to state institutions and enterprises totaled 48 billion 518 million manats. As of Feb. 1, 2025, the total outstanding amount of these loans stood at 50 billion 380 million manats.

According to the data, as of Feb. 1, 2026, the total outstanding amount of loans issued to the country’s private sector in the national currency amounted to 20 billion 194 million manats. As of Feb. 1, 2025, the total outstanding balance of these loans stood at 14 billion 802 million manats.

The total outstanding amount of loans issued to citizens and entrepreneurs operating without establishing a legal entity reached 31 billion 336 million manats during the reporting period. As of Feb. 1, 2025, the total outstanding loan amount stood at 25 billion 359 million manats.
