The Ambassador of Australia to Turkmenistan, based in Moscow, John William Geering, expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for facilitating the transit of Australian citizens traveling from Iran during a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov on Thursday in Ashgabat, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
The sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Australia.
They focused on strengthening political and diplomatic dialogue and expanding cooperation in trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Both sides confirmed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue aimed at further strengthening friendly relations, according to the ministry.
