National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Beijing on Monday on a friendly visit.
According to the Watan habarlary news program, Berdimuhamedov held a brief meeting with officials at Ashgabat International Airport, noting the steady and consistent development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Berdimuhamedov was welcomed at Beijing airport by representatives of both the Turkmen and Chinese sides.
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs earlier said the visit would take place from March 17 to 19 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Berdimuhamedov’s previous visit to the People’s Republic of China took place in October 2023.
