A meeting of the Turkmenistan–United States Working Group on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held Friday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The discussions focused on expanding investment cooperation and implementing joint projects involving American companies.
According to the Turkmen MFA, last year’s results demonstrated positive progress, reflecting the steady development of bilateral engagement and the expansion of practical cooperation in this area.
The parties also reviewed the current state and future prospects of Turkmenistan–U.S. trade and economic relations.
Officials emphasized the importance of regular and substantive dialogue at various levels, noting the high effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms. In particular, the work of the Turkmen–American Business Council, including its annual meetings, was highlighted as especially productive.
The parties recognized the significant potential of the bilateral economic agenda. They stressed the need to effectively utilize existing opportunities to elevate cooperation to a higher level and to coordinate joint efforts to ensure sustainable economic growth and diversify mutual trade.
