Closed joint-stock company Turkmen Investment Company has launched an accreditation process for local audit and consulting firms to participate in lending and investment financing projects, company representatives told Business Turkmenistan.
The process includes comprehensive due diligence covering financial and legal assessments, the transformation of financial statements for the past three years into International Financial Reporting Standards format, and the valuation of collateral by independent experts.
Such services are currently provided mainly by international companies. To support national businesses and reduce borrowers’ costs, the company’s supervisory board is considering accrediting local specialists.
To be included in the register of accredited organizations, applicants must submit a company presentation outlining experience and staff qualifications, a list of completed projects with relevant experience in financial statement transformation and due diligence, and letters of recommendation from major clients or financial institutions, if available.
