Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Communications and Japan’s Muroosystems Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate on the development of data centers, the ministry said.
The document was signed during a meeting between Communications Minister Hajymyrat Hudaygulyyev and Muroosystems Corporation CEO Pan Zhongxin on Monday in Ashgabat.
The agreement provides for joint work on the construction of new data centers across the country using modern technological solutions and in line with international standards in digital infrastructure. The sides also discussed the use of innovative approaches at the design and commissioning stages.
Implementation of the agreements is expected to strengthen the country’s IT infrastructure, expand data storage and processing capacity, and accelerate the digitalization of key sectors of the economy.
The meeting was held with the support of Turkmenistan’s Embassy in Japan, according to the embassy.
