Chairman of the State Concern Turkmengaz Maksat Babayev held talks on Thursday in Ashgabat with Alibek Zhamauov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz, during which the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the gas sector.
According to QazaqGaz, the sides also reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation in the gas industry and considered opportunities for further development of joint initiatives.
In parallel, on the sidelines of the scientific and practical conference “Turkmenistan – People’s Republic of China: 20 Years of Strategic Cooperation in the Gas Sector,” QazaqGaz head Alibek Zhamauov held working meetings with Dai Houliang, Chairman of the Board of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), and Rovshan Najaf, Chairman of the Board of SOCAR.
The discussions focused on pressing issues of sectoral cooperation.
Turkmenistan also held talks with the Azerbaijani side, during which the parties discussed prospects for the gas industry, energy security issues, and opportunities for cooperation in sustainable energy.
