Turkmenistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States, Esen Aydogdyуev, met with International Monetary Fund Executive Director Patrick Lojewski at the IMF headquarters in Washington on April 22, 2026.
The meeting focused on strengthening engagement with relevant national institutions and advancing practical cooperation in priority areas.
According to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States, the sides reviewed the current state of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the IMF and discussed prospects for its further development.
Aydogdyyev reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to mutually beneficial cooperation with international financial institutions, emphasizing the importance of dialogue aimed at achieving tangible results.
Both sides expressed readiness to continue effective cooperation following the meeting.
