National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Sunday attended equestrian performances held at Windsor Castle as part of a visit to London.
According to Turkmenistan’s official media, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also viewed an exhibition dedicated to Akhal-Teke horses.
The exhibition featured displays highlighting the beauty of Akhal-Teke horses, which have become an integral part of the world’s cultural heritage, the characteristics of their coats, and the appearance of the horses that adorn ceremonial events, the report said. Artworks dedicated to the beauty of the “heavenly horses” left a lasting impression on visitors to the exhibition.
At Windsor Castle, the National Leader of the Turkmen people met with Chief of the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elchin Guliyev. Guliyev conveyed warm greetings from President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and presented special gifts from the Azerbaijani leader. The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude and conveyed best wishes to President Ilham Aliyev.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty then watched demonstration performances by riders from the Republic of Azerbaijan.
As part of the visit to London, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also held meetings with King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh.
