High demand for wheat flour was observed at auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) held on Wednesday, where first-grade wheat flour was sold on the domestic market for a total of 51 million 430 thousand manats, the exchange reported.
Local entrepreneurs also purchased cotton yarn and SN-350 base oil for the domestic market for a combined total of 13 million 209 thousand manats.
In addition, Turkish businessmen concluded deals for the purchase of cotton fiber from the 2024 harvest for foreign currency. The total value of contracts amounted to 1 million 39 thousand 720 U.S. dollars.
Businessmen from Türkiye and Azerbaijan also purchased cotton yarn for textile production for a total of 286 thousand 880 U.S. dollars.
In the previous week, local entrepreneurs concluded deals on the domestic market at SCRMET totaling 118 million 350 thousand manats.
