Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council, to discuss prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States, state media reported on Thursday.

Stewart reaffirmed the interest of U.S. businesses in strengthening partnerships with Turkmenistan, citing the country's steady economic growth and expanding investment opportunities.

According to the report, special attention was given to the role of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council, which is viewed as a key platform for fostering ties between government institutions and the private sectors of both countries.

Berdimuhamedov said Turkmenistan remains interested in broadening cooperation with American companies and is prepared to consider new investment and commercial projects. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining regular dialogue between the business communities of the two countries.

The meeting noted Turkmenistan's cooperation with several U.S. companies, including Boeing, General Electric, John Deere, Case New Holland and Nicklaus Design. According to the Turkmen side, economic ties between the two countries continue to develop.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral economic relations and the implementation of new joint initiatives.
