President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture, Adil Karimli, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Turkmenistan, the Watan news program reported on Friday.
Adil Karimli expressed his gratitude for the warm reception extended to the Azerbaijani delegation in Turkmenistan and emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to developing relations with brotherly Turkmenistan. Taking the opportunity, he conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to the President of Turkmenistan and to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked him for the kind words and asked that his best wishes be conveyed to President Ilham Aliyev. He expressed confidence that the events to be held during the visit would make a significant contribution to the further development of cultural ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, it was noted that multifaceted cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan continues to develop steadily. The parties emphasized that regular dialogue and mutual visits in recent years have helped intensify cooperation in all areas, while cultural and humanitarian relations remain an integral part of this partnership.
This year, the Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Turkmenistan are being held in Ashgabat and Arkadag from June 5 to 7. The program includes screenings of feature films, educational sessions dedicated to Azerbaijan’s literary and artistic heritage, as well as presentations of several exhibitions. One of the main highlights of the event will be a concert featuring prominent Azerbaijani artists.
On the same day, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture, Adil Karimli, also met with Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov.
