Turkmenistan and Georgia discussed expanding student and faculty exchanges, promoting academic mobility, and implementing joint educational programs during a meeting between Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov and Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, held in Tbilisi on Wednesday, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia reported.

Particular attention given to strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries, improving the quality of education, and sharing best practices in the training of highly qualified specialists. The parties also reviewed current issues related to enhancing and expanding the legal framework for long-term cooperation in the fields of education and science.

On the same day, Ambassador Seyitmammedov also met with Georgia’s Ombudsman Levan Ioseliani. The parties discussed cooperation in the field of human rights protection, emphasizing the importance of improving national human rights mechanisms and promoting the exchange of experience between relevant institutions.

Following the meetings, the sides reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in education, science, youth policy, and human rights protection, as well as to continue constructive dialogue across these areas.
