Tehran Hosts Events Dedicated to Magtymguly Fragi

Tehran hosted events dedicated to the life and literary legacy of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, with the participation of the Turkmen side, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on Thursday.

On June 17, the Cultural Institute of the Economic Cooperation Organization held a conference titled “The Voice of Unity and Cultural Revival in the Region of the Economic Cooperation Organization.” The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Iran attended the event, along with representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, scholars, and cultural and artistic figures.

Participants highlighted the significance of Magtymguly Fragi’s works in national and world literature and emphasized his philosophical ideas based on patriotism, unity, justice, and humanism.

Speakers from the Turkmen side, including the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Iran, presented reports and underlined Turkmenistan’s role in promoting and internationally popularizing Magtymguly Fragi’s literary heritage.

Earlier, on June 16, Kharazmi University in Tehran hosted a cultural event dedicated to Magtymguly Fragi’s poetry with the participation of Turkmen representatives. Participants delivered presentations on his work, recited his poetry, and staged musical and theatrical performances reflecting Turkmen culture.
