The 19th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Uzbek Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The parties reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and assessed progress in implementing previously reached agreements, Turkmen state media reported on Saturday.

During the meeting, participants noted that Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan place great importance on expanding cooperation across all areas of mutual interest. Building on longstanding traditions of good-neighborly relations, the two countries continue to develop ties based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and trust.

The commission discussed ways to elevate cooperation in various sectors of the economy and investment, advance collaboration in high-tech industries and expand bilateral trade. The parties outlined specific plans for future cooperation and signed the relevant protocol.

Participants expressed confidence that the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan would gain new momentum through the efforts of the leaders of both countries. The sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial relations and ensuring the practical implementation of the agreements reached.
