The Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Oguljahan Atabayeva held meetings on Friday with China's ambassador to Turkmenistan Xi Shumin, Palestine's ambassador to Turkmenistan Rana Abu Hijleh and the UNDP representative in Turkmenistan Narine Sahakyan, according to Turkmen state media.

During talks with Ambassador Xi, the sides discussed expanding humanitarian cooperation, particularly in the field of children's healthcare. They also highlighted the importance of the foundation delegation's visit to Beijing in August last year and a Memorandum of understanding signed during the trip.

The meeting also underscored the significance of an April visit to Turkmenistan by a delegation from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Turkmen side reaffirmed the foundation's readiness to consider proposals from its Chinese partners. Both sides expressed willingness to continue cooperation aimed at supporting younger generations.

In talks with Ambassador Abu Hijleh, the parties discussed friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the State of Palestine, as well as the foundation's humanitarian activities. The Palestinian Ambassador thanked the Turkmen leadership for humanitarian assistance provided to the Palestinian people and praised the foundation's work.

Atabayeva said the foundation attaches particular importance to international humanitarian initiatives and plans to continue efforts in that area. She also thanked the ambassador for participating in an international conference held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in December last year.

During a meeting with Sahakyan, the sides reviewed the results of their longstanding cooperation and joint efforts to advance the Sustainable Development Goals. Atabayeva outlined the foundation's work in providing medical and social support to children in need, Sahakyan expressed support for the initiatives and reaffirmed UNDP's readiness to continue cooperation.

The participants in the meetings expressed interest in further developing humanitarian cooperation and exchanged best wishes.

The foundation signed an agreement on Friday with Turkish company Gap Inşaat Ýatyrym Diş Ticaret A.Ş. to modernize a school in Arkadag city and construct a sports and physical education complex, as well as a kindergarten with capacity for 320 children.
