Work is underway in Turkmenistan to establish new production facilities at the Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery Complex (TORK) through the introduction of modern technologies, according to Turkmenistan’s official media on Friday.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov reported on the activities of the state concern Turkmennebit during a Cabinet of Ministers online meeting. According to the report, the new facilities are intended to support the production of import-substituting and competitive petrochemical products. A related proposal was submitted for consideration by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
After the report, President Berdimuhamedov noted Turkmenistan is carrying out systematic work to modernize oil refining industry and improve petrochemical output. He approved the proposal to establish new production at the Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery Complex and instructed the deputy prime minister to continue work in the sector.
The Cabinet meeting also reviewed several other state issues and adopted corresponding decisions.
