A new production facility will be commissioned at the cotton-spinning factory in the city of Dashoguz. The enterprise is currently carrying out comprehensive work to produce various goods by processing waste from the textile industry, Turkmen state media reported on Friday.
Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev reported on practical steps to establish new production lines in the textile sector during a Cabinet of Ministers online meeting. According to the report, the new facility is expected to boost output of import-substituting goods, meet domestic consumer demand, increase export potential and create new jobs. He submitted relevant proposals to the President for consideration.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said Turkmenistan is effectively developing its textile industry and producing high-quality goods at modern facilities. He approved the proposal to launch the new production at the Dashoguz cotton-spinning plant and instructed the deputy prime minister to continue work in the sector.
The Cabinet meeting also reviewed several other state issues and adopted corresponding decisions.
