A Turkmen delegation led by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Mergen Gurdov visited Japan from June 29 to July 1 to take part in meetings ahead of the exhibition, which is scheduled to be held in Yokohama from March 19 to September 26, 2027, Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Turkmen delegation took part in general and panel sessions, meetings and presentations covering the organization and operation of Turkmenistan’s national pavilion, logistics, the country’s national day and other organizational matters related to its participation in the exhibition.

As part of the visit, Mergen Gurdov held meetings with Executive Vice President of the Japan External Trade Organization T. Suzuki and Deputy Secretary General of the GREEN EXPO 2027 Association K. Hachiyama.
The meetings focused on expanding Turkmen-Japanese business cooperation, organizing a Turkmen-Japanese business forum for small and medium-sized enterprises in Tokyo in 2027 and preparations for Turkmenistan’s participation in the GREEN EXPO 2027 Yokohama international horticultural exhibition.
