Head of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan Azat Shanazarov held talks with Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye Abdulkadir Uraloğlu on the sidelines of the 5th Türkiye Maritime Summit. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to expanding maritime transport between the two countries.
The discussions also covered cooperation in shipping, port infrastructure and the development of transport connectivity in the Caspian region, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu reported on his X social media account on Thursday.
"We will continue to strengthen the strong ties of friendship between Türkiye and Turkmenistan through close cooperation in the maritime sector," Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye noted.
The 5th Türkiye Maritime Summit brought together representatives of government institutions, business circles and industry organizations to discuss the development of maritime transport, shipping, port infrastructure and international cooperation.
