The second meeting of the Turkmenistan-Tajikistan Business Council was held in Dushanbe on July 7, 2026, bringing together representatives of government agencies and business communities from both countries. The sides presented their investment and industrial potential and held B2B meetings aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties.
According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan, the meeting was co-chaired by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Mergen Gurdov and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan Farkhodshoh Rahmonali.
The Turkmen delegation included more than 35 representatives of government agencies and the private sector, including representatives of 20 leading Turkmen companies and enterprises.
During the meeting, the Turkmen side presented the country's transport and logistics, industrial and investment potential. Particular attention was given to developing direct links between enterprises of the two countries and implementing joint projects.

According to the Hovar news agency, trade turnover between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan increased by 17% in 2025, while in January–April 2026 it rose 2.2 times compared with the same period a year earlier.
Rahmonali said Tajikistan's exports to Turkmenistan mainly consist of aluminum profiles, while Turkmenistan exports petroleum products, plastics and construction materials to Tajikistan.
He also stressed the need to further increase bilateral trade and expand cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
The meeting also featured presentations on Tajikistan's investment opportunities, the potential of its free economic zones and tourism sector. The event concluded with B2B meetings between business representatives from the two countries.
