Turkmenistan produced 39.1472 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 4.1298 million tons of oil from January to June 2026, Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Dovletgeldi Amanmuhammedov reported during an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, Turkmen state media reported.
According to the report, stable growth was recorded in the industrial sector during the first six months of the year. Compared with the same period in 2025, production of diesel fuel increased by 0.7%, lubricating oils by 7.2%, petroleum bitumen by 39.9% and liquefied hydrocarbon gases by 64.5%.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov reported on the results of work carried out in the oil and gas sector during the first half of the year. According to him, the state concern Turkmennebit fulfilled its oil production plan by 108.3% and its oil refining plan by 104.1%.
The production plans for gasoline were fulfilled by 116%, diesel fuel by 111.4%, polypropylene by 100%, lubricating oils by 119.4%, and liquefied gas by 118.5%. The plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was fulfilled by 107.6%.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressing the sector’s leadership, identified the development of the oil and gas industry and the diversification of natural gas supplies to global markets as key priorities. He emphasized the importance of successfully carrying out tasks related to oil and gas production, processing resources to commercial standards and selling them on external markets, as well as continuing the effective development of the Galkynysh gas field.
The President instructed officials to modernize enterprises, increase production capacity, improve the efficiency of geological exploration and the discovery of new hydrocarbon fields, and expand the production of environmentally friendly products.
