President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations to French President Emmanuel Macron and the French people on Bastille Day, France’s national holiday. Turkmenistan’s official media reported on Tuesday.
In his message, the Head of State wished Macron good health and happiness, and the people of France peace and well-being.
Bastille Day is celebrated annually on July 14 and commemorates the storming of the Bastille fortress in Paris in 1789, which marked the beginning of the French Revolution.
The holiday is marked across France with military parades, including the traditional parade on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, as well as fireworks and public celebrations attended by thousands of people.
