President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of his birthday, Turkmenistan's state media reported.
In his congratulatory message, Berdimuhamedov noted Uzbekistan has continued to develop steadily and strengthen its standing on the international stage under Mirziyoyev's leadership. He also praised the Uzbek president's personal contribution to advancing the traditionally friendly ties and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The Turkmen President stressed the relations between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, based on shared historical, cultural and spiritual values, serve as a vivid example of genuine brotherhood. He expressed confidence that the bilateral relationship would continue to strengthen for the benefit of both nations.
The Turkmen President wished Mirziyoyev good health, happiness and success in his state duties and extended wishes for peace and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev was born on July 24, 1957. He has served as President of Uzbekistan since December 2016.
