An Uzbek delegation on Tuesday visited the Ak Gaya Gurlushyk and Ak Bulut companies to review their production facilities as part of the Turkmen-Uzbek business forum being held from July 27-29, Turkmen state media reported on Tuesday.
The second day of the forum focused on expanding bilateral trade, economic and industrial cooperation, with particular emphasis on collaboration in the construction and building materials manufacturing sectors. Representatives of Uzbek businesses and government agencies were introduced to the production technologies at Ak Gaya Gurlushyk, including dry construction mixes, gypsum plasterboards, finishing materials and paint products.
The delegation also visited Ak Bulut, one of Turkmenistan's leading manufacturers of suspended ceiling systems and construction profiles. Company representatives said the enterprise exported more than 120 million square meters of suspended ceilings, as well as gypsum plasterboards and dry construction mixes, to Uzbekistan during 2025-2026.
The forum also featured B2B meetings between business representatives from the two countries. The sides discussed supplies of raw materials and finished products, as well as opportunities to launch joint industrial cooperation projects.
