January-June: Lebap Increases Gas Output by 117.1 Million Cubic Meters
Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery Complex, Balkan, Turkmenistan

Oil and gas enterprises in Turkmenistan's Lebap province produced 11,986.4 million cubic meters of natural gas in the first half of the year, 117.1 million cubic meters more than in the same period last year. Gas production increased by 1%, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported Monday.

Part of the natural gas produced was supplied to the domestic market, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of enterprises and stable gas supplies to the population. The remaining volume was exported under existing contracts. Higher production also contributed to a more than twofold increase in liquefied natural gas output in the region during the reporting period.

The region's oil-producing enterprises also increased output by nearly 1% in January-June, producing 248,200 tons of crude oil and gas condensate. The Seydi Oil Refinery produced 68,400 tons of diesel fuel, 9% more than a year earlier. Gasoline production remained at 127,400 tons, while bitumen output increased by nearly 2.5%.

The growth in hydrocarbon production and processing ensured stable supplies of raw materials for the chemical industry and fuel for the transport and agricultural sectors. During the first half of the year, industrial enterprises in Lebap region produced goods worth nearly 47 million manats more than in the corresponding period last year.
