Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Ukraine Toyly Atayev met with Gennadiy Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to discuss the current state and prospects for developing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine reported on Monday.
The meeting focused on opportunities to expand cooperation in industry, construction, transport and logistics, the agricultural sector, pharmaceuticals and modern technologies.
The sides also emphasized the importance of increasing bilateral trade and establishing direct contacts between companies in Turkmenistan and Ukraine. They separately discussed the role of transport and logistics in promoting bilateral trade.
Toyly Atayev briefed the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry President on international forums, conferences and exhibitions planned in Turkmenistan through the end of the year. The events will focus on investment, oil and gas, energy, industry, construction, transport, logistics, telecommunications and digital technologies.
The sides confirmed their interest in continuing working-level contacts and developing practical cooperation between the business communities of Turkmenistan and Ukraine.
