The Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and Ukraine held a videoconference on Aug. 27 dedicated to developing bilateral trade cooperation, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine reported.
The meeting was attended by Serdar Kepbanov, director of the Trade House of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan; Valeriy Korol, deputy president of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and representatives of business groups from Turkmenistan and Ukraine.
The main objectives of the meeting were to support small and medium-sized businesses engaged in import and export activities, establish direct contacts between businesses from the two countries, and identify promising areas for mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the meeting, representatives of the two chambers expressed interest in strengthening direct cooperation between businesses, regularly exchanging business information, exploring market opportunities and seeking new forms of cooperation. The participants also paid particular attention to opportunities to develop ties in the textile and chemical industries, transport and logistics, and other areas of mutual interest.
