Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated teachers, education workers, students and schoolchildren on Day of Knowledge and Student Youth and the start of the 2026-2027 academic year, Turkmen state media reported Tuesday.
In his congratulatory message, the Head of state noted that, in connection with the start of the new academic year, new buildings of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction and the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute will be ceremonially opened in Ashgabat and Turkmenabat, respectively, as well as modern secondary schools and kindergartens in the provinces. He also noted that Bilimli laptop computers would be presented as gifts to students entering school for the first time.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that exemplary work is being carried out in the country to develop the younger generation as literate, broad-minded and patriotic individuals who are able to use advanced modern technologies. The Head of state noted that modern kindergartens, secondary schools and vocational education institutions are being built regularly and the national education system is being modernized.
The President emphasized that young people are the country’s bright future and noted that they should achieve high results in national and international subject competitions, olympiads, sports and creative festivals in the new academic year and bring fame to the country around the world.
The Head of state, saying that teachers and education workers play an important role in educating the younger generation, emphasized the importance of widely introducing the latest scientific achievements, innovative teaching methods and advanced practices into all areas of education in the new academic year.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov once again congratulated teachers, education workers, students and schoolchildren on Knowledge and Student Youth Day and the start of the new academic year, wishing them good health, a prosperous and happy life, and great success in their studies and work.
