Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, sent his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and all the brotherly people of the country on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Turkmen state media reported Monday.
In his congratulatory message, the Head of state noted that Uzbekistan had achieved great success during the years of sovereign development in strengthening state foundations, improving the well-being of the people and enhancing the country's reputation in the international arena.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed that Turkmen-Uzbek relations, based on the principles of good-neighborliness, friendship and mutual support, are currently developing even more dynamically and consistently. The Head of state also noted that these relations are distinguished by mutual trust, equality and openness.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed firm confidence that the brotherly relations of a strategic nature would be further developed through joint efforts for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
Taking the opportunity, the Head of state wished President Shavkat Mirziyoyev good health, happiness and prosperity, and the brotherly people of the Republic of Uzbekistan peace, prosperity and well-being.
