The 18th issue of World Magazine, the official publication of the World Tourism Forum Institute, an international tourism organization, is entirely devoted to Turkmenistan. The 60-page special issue highlights the country’s cultural heritage, economy, tourism opportunities and its role as a transit transport hub in Eurasia.
Published under the headline “Turkmenistan 2026: Independent Neutral Turkmenistan, the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” the special issue is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence. A photograph of an Akhal-Teke horse is featured on the cover of the issue.
The magazine features articles on Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality, its position on the Caspian Sea, the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, the country’s economic development and tourism opportunities. The issue also devotes special attention to Akhal-Teke horses, the Turkmen Alabay, the legacy of Magtymguly Pyragy and the country’s historical and cultural monuments.
The publication also introduces foreign readers to such destinations as Ashgabat, the Darvaza gas crater, the Yangykala Canyon and the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Caspian Sea coast. In addition, the magazine covers Turkmenistan’s tourism and investment opportunities.
