The total outstanding balance of loans issued in the national currency by Turkmenistan's credit institutions to enterprises, organizations and individuals exceeded 102.9 billion manats as of August 1, 2026. The total outstanding loan balance stood at 92.362 billion manats as of August 1, 2025, according to the latest issue of the Bank Habarlary electronic journal published by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
Outstanding loans extended in the national currency to state-owned enterprises and organizations totaled 46.791 billion manats as of August 1, 2026. The total outstanding loan balance as of August 1, 2025, amounted to 46.838 billion manats.
According to the data, as of August 1, 2026, the total outstanding amount of loans issued to the country’s private sector in the national currency reached 20.344 billion manats. As of August 1, 2025, the total outstanding balance of these loans stood at 16.790 billion manats.
During the reporting period, the total outstanding amount of loans issued to citizens and entrepreneurs operating without establishing a legal entity amounted to 35.795 billion manats. As of August 1, 2025, the total outstanding loan balance stood at 28.733 billion manats.
