Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in South Korea on Monday for a state visit to attend the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Summit, the Watan news program reported.
The President's aircraft landed at the airport for high-level guests in Seoul. Korean officials and members of the Turkmen delegation welcomed the Head of state at the airport.
Bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and South Korea are currently developing rapidly and are being elevated to the level of strategic partnership.
According to the Watan news program, the Turkmen president’s state visit aims to open a new chapter in Turkmen-Korean relations, initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
