Turkmenistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the U. S. Esen Aydogdyev, attended the event “Prosperity Through Peace: Investing in the Trans-Caspian Trade Route and TRIPP” on Sept. 23 in New York, held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the U.N. General Assembly, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the U.S. reported on its social media.
During the panel discussion, Aydogdyev outlined Turkmenistan’s approach to regional transport connectivity and highlighted the country’s role in facilitating transit and trade between Central Asia, the Caspian region and international markets.
According to the report, participants discussed strengthening regional connectivity, expanding transport and trade ties, attracting private investment, and developing cooperation on the Trans-Caspian Trade Route and TRIPP.
The event was organized at the initiative of the U.S. Department of State. U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff also spoke at the event, while Senior Adviser Aryeh Lightstone led and moderated the discussion. The event was attended by senior U.S. officials, representatives of Central Asian and South Caucasus countries, and more than 40 companies.
