A ceremonial event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence was held in Herat on Sept. 26–27. The event was organized by the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Herat.
As part of the event, photographs and videos dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence were displayed from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on a large screen near the Sinema roundabout on Welayat Avenue, as well as on the exterior and interior screens of the Zaitoon shopping center on 64 Metr Avenue, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Herat reported.
Images prepared in English and Persian decorated the exterior and interior of the busy Herat shopping center with images of Turkmen patterns and a crescent moon with five stars, drawing the attention of city residents and shopping center visitors.
The respected elders of the Turkmen diaspora living in Afghanistan’s Herat and Badghis provinces also expressed their appreciation, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence, to National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
