GOTECH 2026, focused on digital technologies, artificial intelligence and production efficiency in the energy sector, is taking place in Dubai from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1., Turkmen Energy Forum (TEF) reported.
The forum brings together company executives, engineers, technology providers and international experts. Among them are Dragon Oil Chairman of the Board Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO Abdulkarim Ahmed Al Mazmi, 2026 President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers Jennifer Miskimins, Crystol Energy CEO Dr. Carole Nakhle and PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) CEO Ismadi bin Ismail.
According to the report, one of the trends under discussion is the shift from testing new technologies to their industrial implementation. Artificial intelligence, data analysis, automation and digital solutions are increasingly being used to manage oil and gas fields, improve equipment reliability, optimize production and make operational decisions. According to the report, reducing methane emissions, managing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency are becoming part of production and investment decisions.
GOTECH 2026 is being held with the support of Dragon Oil as the host company. Representatives of other international energy and technology companies are also participating in the event.
The next venue for discussing these issues will be Ashgabat, where OGT 2026 will take place Oct. 21-23. According to the report, the conference agenda will include development of the Galkynysh field, the TAPI gas pipeline, investment opportunities in the Caspian region, gas processing and petrochemicals, technology, artificial intelligence and digitalization, regional connectivity and sustainable energy development.
