Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated health care and medical industry workers on their professional holiday, which is widely celebrated in the country, Turkmen state media reported.

In his congratulatory message, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said modern hospitals, health centers and pharmaceutical industry enterprises are regularly being built and commissioned in the country under the Saglyk State Program, developed on the initiative of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The latest advances in medical science, innovative technologies, digital systems and artificial intelligence are being introduced into the health care sector in stages.

According to the reportNew medical facilities will open in the country to mark the holiday. The President expressed confidence that doctors working in the new buildings would achieve further progress in protecting public health.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that efforts to modernize the health care system’s material and technical base are accompanied by the training of doctors and measures to improve their professional skills.

The President also stressed the importance of expanding international cooperation with leading scientific and clinical centers, research institutions, advanced clinics and higher education institutions.

Turkmenistan is expanding cooperation with the World Health Organization, the United Nations Children’s Fund, the United Nations Population Fund and leading medical research centers in Asia and Europe. Berdimuhamedov noted humanitarian assistance for children affected by natural disasters in various countries is provided through the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation.

At the end of his message, the President wished health care and medical industry workers good health, well-being, happy lives and further success in developing the country’s health care sector.
