The total volume of cashless transactions using bank cards in Turkmenistan exceeded 16 billion 275 million 645 thousand manats in January–August 2026, according to the electronic journal Bank habarlary published by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
Payments made via terminals during the period totaled 13 billion 8 million 641 thousand manats.
According to the Central Bank, payments conducted through the e-commerce system exceeded 2 billion 526 million 93 thousand manats in January– August, while transactions via the mobile banking system surpassed 71 million 137 thousand manats.
The total volume of cashless payments carried out through ATMs exceeded 451 million 896 thousand manats, while transactions via the internet banking system amounted to more than 6 million 768 thousand manats.
More than 211 million 107 thousand manats in cashless payments were processed through the Halkbank terminal system, according to the report.
