Abbasov also recalled Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s visit to Azerbaijan on June 22-23, 2026. Following the visit, the leaders of the two countries signed a joint statement highlighting their significant energy potential and identifying energy as one of the priority areas for cooperation.
The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline is 1,768 kilometers long and transports crude oil from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean Sea. It begins in Baku, Azerbaijan, crosses Georgia and ends at the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean coast.
