The Täze Aý company has expanded its food product range by launching production of fruit pastila without added sugar or artificial additives. The new product features natural ingredients and retains the characteristic taste of the fruit, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan reported.
According to the statement, the production process does not involve artificial colorings, flavorings, chemical preservatives or starch. The sweetness comes exclusively from the natural sugars found in the fruit.
Ripe fruits, including apples, pears, bananas, oranges, mandarins and peaches, are selected for the pastila. The fruits undergo several stages of cleaning and washing before special equipment processes them into a uniform consistency. One of the main features of production is low-temperature drying at 40 to 55 degrees Celsius. According to the manufacturer, this technology helps preserve a significant portion of the vitamins and minerals. The method creates favorable conditions for retaining vitamins C, A and B, as well as potassium, magnesium and iron.
After drying, the pastila is cut into appropriately sized pieces and packed in special packaging that protects the product from exposure to air and moisture. According to the company, environmentally friendly materials are used for packaging.
The product is intended for schoolchildren, people who engage in sports and those looking for a convenient snack to take to work or on trips. The absence of added sugar is one of the pastila’s main features. However, the product still contains natural sugars from the fruit.
The new product expands the range of natural fruit-based sweets in Turkmenistan’s domestic food industry and offers consumers more choices.
