Turkmen Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Muhammetgeldi Ayazov met Tuesday in Riyadh with Mohammed bin Gharad, director of the International Participants Department of Expo 2030 Riyadh. The sides discussed preparations for Turkmenistan's participation in the World Expo and arrangements for the signing ceremony of the official participation agreement., the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Saudi Arabia reported.
Mohammed bin Gharad thanked Turkmenistan for being among the first countries to officially confirm its participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh. He also expressed interest in Turkmenistan's involvement in the upcoming exhibition.
Expo 2030 Riyadh will take place in the Saudi capital from Oct. 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031, under the theme "Foresight for Tomorrow." The event will serve as an international platform to showcase national achievements, innovations and solutions across various fields.
According to the official Expo 2030 Riyadh website, the exhibition site will cover more than 6 million square meters. A total of 197 countries and international organizations are expected to participate.
