Turkmenistan is showcasing its national pavilion at the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2026), which opened in Shanghai on Nov. 5. The pavilion features products from the country’s textile, chemical, agricultural and industrial sectors, as well as its export potential. The participation is organized with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the chamber reported.
The pavilion introduces visitors to opportunities in Turkmenistan’s economy, promising investment areas and products made by domestic manufacturers. The country’s participation aims to promote Turkmen products in international markets and expand business ties with foreign partners.
The expo is being held under the theme “New Era, Shared Future” and has brought together representatives from 162 countries, regions and international organizations, according to organizers. More than 4,100 exhibitors are presenting their products and services. Senior representatives from more than 30 countries and international organizations attended the opening ceremony.
A Turkmen-Chinese business forum is also scheduled for Nov. 6–7 on the sidelines of CIIE. It is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Shanghai Chamber of International Commerce. Representatives of government agencies and business communities from both countries are expected to attend.
The forum’s agenda includes bilateral trade, industrial and agricultural cooperation, the introduction of modern technologies, digitalization and transport and logistics cooperation. Participants will also discuss opportunities to establish new business contacts and implement joint projects.
