Set for July 22-24, 2019, this year’s Home Textiles Sourcing Expo in New York welcomes Turkmenistan for the first time at a brand new location at the Javits Convention Center. As a long-term joint venture partnership between Messe Frankfurt and CCPIT-TEX, the show is the only trade event in North America to focus solely on home textiles and finished soft goods for all home applications.
“As a global leader in the home textiles market, we’re excited to highlight a diverse mix of countries in this show. US consumers demand both local and outside representation when it comes to industry trade shows, and we’re thrilled to share that a record number of exhibitors across the globe are participating in the 2019 Home Textiles Sourcing Expo” said Jennifer Bacon, Show Director.
The 2019 edition will showcase home products in over nine categories including bed, bath, table linen, floor coverings, window, fabric, kitchen linen, walls, and design and technology. The Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan will display bed linen products made from plain and printed 100% cotton fabrics, including cretonne, ranforse, flannel and satin.
With an annual cotton yield of 1 million 50 thousand tons, Turkmenistan is one of the world’s largest cotton producers. Cotton and cotton products are significant export items of Turkmenistan. The country produces more cotton per capita than any other country in the world.
During the years of independence, Turkmenistan created export-oriented textile industry with modern high-tech equipment, and 60 textile complexes and enterprises with the most advanced technologies were commissioned into operation throughout the country. Currently, about 80 percent of manufactured textile products are exported to the countries in Asia, Europe and North America.
