For many years, the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan has been actively cooperating with the International Organization for Migration. The main areas of cooperation between the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and the International Organization for Migration include countering the various threats and challenges of our time and other relevant issues of migration policy.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the prospects and opportunities for partnership in the field of international migration, discussing a number of priority areas for cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed confidence about the expansion of the productive partnership between Turkmenistan and IOM.

The State Migration Service of Turkmenistan was established in 2003. It is a government agency that provides control of the migration system of Turkmenistan, the state policy in the field of migration, adherence to international agreements of Turkmenistan on migration.
