Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held separate meetings with diplomats from Central Asian countries at the ministry on Thursday, the press service of the Turkmen MFA reports.
During the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan Sharifzoda Farruh Homiddin, the parties discussed the implementation of previously reached agreements and determined the priorities for the development of bilateral relations, as well as trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
The head of the MFA of Turkmenistan noted that Turkmenistan consistently adheres to the policy of good-neighborhood relations in the implementation of the foreign policy of the country. The parties also discussed the trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Akhmaljon Kuchkarov, the parties discussed issues related to bilateral relations where they noted constantly increasing cooperation between the two countries.
The parties also noted the role of the Joint Turkmen-Uzbek Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation in further strengthening bilateral relations.
At the meeting between head of the MFA of Turkmenistan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Turkmenistan Zhandos Asanov, the diplomats stressed the effectiveness of the activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission on economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation, the successive round of which was held in March this year. Particularly, the officials noted the growth of trade turnover between the two countries and confirmed its positive impact on the development of economic ties.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov also held meeting with the Chargé d’affairs ad interim of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkmenistan Asylbek Isayev. During the meeting, the parties noted the importance of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kyrgyz Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and humanitarian cooperation in expanding bilateral relations.
