Senior representatives of Turkmen state organizations, leading international oil and gas companies and major international financial institutions have regularly attended the Conference.

Three months to go for the 24th Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan (OGT) international conference organized by the Turkmennebit State Concern in partnership with Turkmen Forum, a leading event organizer company specialized in organization and management of international and national specialized exhibitions, conferences and seminars, business meetings and company presentations.

OGT is an annual business gathering intended to promote international partnerships between Turkmen state organizations and international oil and gas companies. The forum provides a platform for the world’s leading energy companies to share their expertise in petrochemical projects. This year’s OGT conference is set for Oct. 22-23 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.

Senior representatives of Turkmen state organizations, leading international oil and gas companies and major international financial institutions have regularly attended the Conference. The regular participants in the forum include Shell, Petronas, Gazprom, Gaffney, Cline & Associates, NAPECO, Hyundai, Vitol, CNPC, Dragon Oil, ENI, BP, Socar, Exxon Mobil, Buried Hill, IFC, ADB, EBRD, Allen & Overy and many others.

The 24th Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan conference will include presentations and panel sessions to update participants on the status of key projects currently underway in the Turkmen oil and gas sectors. The panel sessions will address such topics as “Trends in the Petrochemical Sector”, “Investment opportunities in the offshore blocks in the Caspian sea”, “Investment opportunities in the oil and gas sectors” and the TAPI pipeline project. Senior representatives of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas industry and CEOs of companies currently operating in Turkmenistan will participate in the sessions in order to provide first-hand input to the discussions. A signing ceremony will also take place for recently agreed contracts and memorandums. The attendees will be invited to join a guided tour to the new Gas-To-Gasoline plant in Ovadandepe.

National and international media companies participating as Media Partners – The State news agency of Turkmenistan, Orient, Business Turkmenistan, Turkmenportal, Arzuw News, Trend News agency, RT, Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union – will provide coverage and publicity via television, radio, print, web and social media in several languages. They will be joined by Internet publications specialized in oil and gas.  

Turkmenistan is one of the largest gas resource holders in the Caspian region and has the world's fourth largest proven natural gas reserves.
