Akar Exported 800,000 Pairs of Socks
Currently, 250 thousand pairs of Akar-branded men’s socks are produced monthly.

The enterprise, under the guidance of entrepreneur Serdar Annakov, member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, exported 800 thousand pairs of Akar socks.

“The demand for our products is growing in foreign markets. We have exported about 800 thousand pairs of socks by today. In the future, we plan to increase monthly production by 350 thousand pairs of socks,” said Annakov. He also stressed the popularity of socks made of cotton and cotton thread.

The production facility, located in Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat, is capable to produce 500 thousand pairs of socks per month. Currently, 250 thousand pairs of Akar-branded men’s socks are produced monthly.

The production of Akar socks started in June last year. After a short perod of time, significant portion of these socks made from Turkmen cotton was exported to Russia.
